Simulation Intern
Trekion builds simulation infrastructure for robotics teams, enabling them to build trustable simulations to train and evaluate their policies against. We are building real2sim2real pipelines that match simulation to reality.
As a simulation intern, you will be supporting us to build these pipelines from the ground up.
What you will do
Run hands-on simulation, calibration, and system identification work. Tune sensors, actuators, and contact behavior against measurements from the physical system, and use system identification to fit simulation parameters from measured data.
Model complex environments and assets in simulation, including articulated and deformable assets.
Build parts of the pipelines around simulation for data generation and evaluation.
Support the team in validating the simulation pipelines through real life testing.
Who you are
Hands-on experience with robots and simulators. If you have had your hands dirty building robots both in real life and in sim, and understood the pain of transferring policies from sim to real, you are the right fit for us.
A current student or research graduate with an engineering background.
You have high agency and high integrity, and you are willing to learn, apply, and fail quickly.
You work with minimal guidance and do everything possible to make the product work.
It does not matter if you do not have the relevant experience in any of the requirements, as long as you have a strong interest to learn and apply quickly.
Nice to have
Experience with at least one of Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, or Genesis.
Strong Python skills for data analysis, automation, and similar work.
ROS2 and other basic robotics skills.
3D reconstruction techniques, such as Gaussian splatting.
How to apply
Send us a link to something that you have built and are proud of, out of your own interest, and anything you want us to know about you that will help you stand out, to careers@trekion.ai.
